Sakshi: Witness
Named after the bhabi (Sister-in- law), the tricolor Sakshi are carefully designed to look like embroidery and mirror work commonly found in West India (Rajasthan, Haryanna, and Gujrat). This style of work came and became popular during the 13th century Mughal era and was traditionally believed to ward evil spirits and bad luck. My bhabi, who loves fashion, accessories, and bold colors, has an amazing collection of traditional Indian wear. Her love for fashion, loving personality, and rational thought process made her the perfect inspiration for these earrings. Babhi is a prime example of someone who sees and hears all but doesn't get involved unless she has to. She's pure of heart and only puts others before herself. The mirrors in these earrings see everything but elegantly reflect the light and colors around it.
