A versatile tie dye technique from the state of Gujarat is the perfect summer textile. Traditionally made by carefully wrapping lentils and peas into the fabric and then placed in dye couldn't be identically recreated with clay; so instead, I made my own bandhani stencil and manipulated the clay to emulate the bandhani fabric.
These Bandhani inspired earrings were inspired by not only the fabric but also @poppy_shoe new collection of canvas shoes. Their Yellow Bandhani shoes are so bold and vibrant with the traditional touch, that they had to be turned into earrings! These earrings are a lightweight statement, and yellow is the perfect shade of sunny to brighten your day. The texture is very visible and far from subtle, it really does look like fabric on your ears!
