For this jacket I have drawn my inspiration from the painting of the famous Bengali artist Jamini Roy. I have always been fascinated by the rich culture of Bengal. The main painting celebrates the women of Bengal and the stipes on the sides represent the typical cotton saree print that can be found in Bengal.
I really enjoyed making this painting and I am sure you will feel equally thrilled to won a piece of Bengal culture.
Process: All jackets are prewashed before they are painted on. I have used very high-quality fabric paint. Each painting is drawn freehand and painted with great care.
Depending on the design it takes me two weeks to paint the jacket and about a week for the paint to dry. The paint is then heat set to ensure that the paint adheres to the fabric.
Care Instructions: Dry Clean Only. Do not iron directly on the painting. Iron the jean jacket inside out if needed.
